Nothing says movies are back quite like Twisters. The summer sure-to-be-blockbuster rebooted the nineties classic with a winning formula that doubles down on the tornadoes, hot movie stars, and killer soundtrack. But if audiences leave the theater hootin’ and hollerin’ about the tornadeo too early, they’ll wish they’d stuck around for the credits.

Now, I can’t promise that we’ll see any sort of Marvel-esque “THE TORNADOES WILL RETURN” announcement. (What would come after Twisters? Twisterses? Tripletwisters? Definitely not.) From what I can gather, moviegoers are already sick of the very concept of the end-credits tease. Many big films this year, including Dune: Part Two and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, didn’t include any such moments. But Twisters does have one midway through the credits—and it’s worth waiting out the first wave of credits to see.

What Happens in Twister’s End-Credits Scene?

After stopping the third act’s massive tornado dead in its tracks, Kate Cooper (Daisy Edgar-Jones) confirms that it’s theoretically possible to stop a tornado. It's a major breakthrough in meteorology—and a potentially life-saving scientific advancement for folks who live in Tornado Alley.

In the end-credits scene, we see Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), Javi (Anthony Ramos), Boone (Brandon Perea), and Kate, who jokes that she should have a T-shirt with her face on it, just like Tyler’s. Then the gang shares a laugh following the devastating storm. It’s lighthearted, okay? Sometimes that’s enough!

If you pay attention to the initial batch of credits—which seemingly show us bits and pieces of Ben’s (Harry Hadden-Paton) article—Kate, Javi, and Tyler are officially tornado-fighting partners, working to save people from devastation. Though there’s no word on a sequel just yet, it seems that the storm-chasing crew is now in the business of storm prevention.
