'Gen V' Season Two: Everything We Know

It’s official, The Boys spinoff, Gen V, will return for a second season. The Amazon Prime series follows the adventures of students at Godolkin University, a specialized college for superheroes. Since its premiere on September 29th, Gen V has risen in popularity, becoming the number-one series on Prime Video. According to Vernon Sanders, the head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, Gen V is “Prime Videos' most acquisitive new Original series of 2023.”

Here is the official synopsis: “You know what happens when supers go bad, but not all superheroes start out corrupt. Beyond the typical college chaos of finding oneself and partying, these kids are facing explosive situations…literally. As students vie for popularity and good grades, it’s clear that stakes are much higher when superpowers are involved. When the group of young supes discover that something bigger and sinister is going on at school, they're put to the test: Will they be the heroes or the villains of their stories?”

Gen V is currently approaching its season finale, which premieres on November 3rd. Fans of The Boys know that life in this universe is anything but ordinary—so, a twist is inevitable. While we wait to see what happens next, the production team is thinking about the future of Godolkin University. In a statement provided to Variety, showrunner, Michele Fazekas, and executive producer, Eric Kripke said, “We couldn’t be happier to make a second season of ‘Gen V,’ these are characters and stories we’ve grown to love, and we are thrilled to know people feel the same!”

What Could Happen in Season Two of Gen V?

The plot for Season Two is still under wraps, however, Fazekas and Kripke hinted at pure chaos. “The writers are already working on the new season,” they said. “Sophomore year is gonna be wild, with all the twists, heart, satire, and exploding genitalia you’ve come to expect from the show.” Count us in!

Who Could Appear in Season Two of Gen V?

The core cast should return for Season Two, so long as they all survive freshman year. Again, there are no guarantees, but we hope to see Jazz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizzie Broadway, Shelly Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi will reprise their roles. What would Gen Z be without them?

When Will Season Two of Gen V Premiere?

Unfortunately, the premiere date has not been released. It will likely take about a year to write, film, and edit the next season. If we’re lucky Season Two could be ready by late 2024.
