How to Watch Venom: Let There Be Carnage

You might've heard that Venom: Let There Be Carnage—the sequel to 2018's Venom—is hitting theaters this weekend. Considering that Venom is about an alien ball of slime with a penchant for munching on human brains, you might've shuddered a little bit. We understand if it's a hard pass.

For the rest of you, the ones who enjoyed Venom's, let's say, unique brand of humor, we're happy that you'll get a full 90 minutes of Tom Hardy and the symbiote working through their domestic issues. Now, the release date for Venom: Let There Be Carnage has been shuffled around a few times due to the coronavirus pandemic—criss-crossing between October dates—but Sony finally settled on October 1, 2021 for the day we'll see Hardy's Venom square off against Woody Harrelson's Carnage. Since movie rollouts have been across the board lately—streaming, theaters, sometimes both—we thought it was worth reminding you how you can actually see this thing.

With the great Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings taking the box office by storm, it looks like Sony thought it would be best to give Venom: Let There Be Carnage a traditional, only-in-theaters debut. As of now, you will only be able to see Tom Hardy's latest in theaters, if your comfort level is there. You can find showtimes as early as Thursday evening on September 30th. As of right now, Sony hasn't announced any streaming plans for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, but we'll keep this story updated if we learn anything on that front.
