ImpossibleDead Reckoning Part 1' Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Too many stories nowadays are separated into two parts. TV seasons, films, and even franchise sequels. Fast X was one half of a grand finale, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse marked Part One of a story that will finish next year, and now, the seventh Mission: Impossible film is joining in the trend. Titled Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning Part One, the latest action film sets up plenty of danger for the road ahead.

While the Dead Reckoning's story will culminate in Part Two, premiering next summer, there's still plenty of action to enjoy in the first installment. Tom Cruise fights on top of a moving train, in a tiny alley, throughout the streets of Rome, and even jumps off a cliff on a motorcycle. Even with a nearly three-hour runtime, every second is jam-packed with action.

Mercifully, you won't have to sit through the film a second longer after the credits roll, as Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One doesn't feature a post-credits scene. It's an entire film designed to set up its successor—we don't need a thirty-second teaser! Sure, Fast X used that time to tease some character returns, but Spider-Verse dealt away with the post-credits scene entirely.

Regardless, we won't have to wait long before the eighth Mission: Impossible movie arrives in theaters. Though production on Part Two has been halted by the WGA and SAG strikes, the film's planned release date is June 28, 2024. Who knows what kinds of crazy stunts Cruise will have prepared for us by then.
