Pedro Pascal is everywhere. The Mandalorian, Wonder Woman, and soon, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (which he stars in alongside Nicolas Cage). "I basically own the world," he says in Esquire's new episode of "Explain This." But for someone who owns everything, he still falls shy of the one thing he longs for in the world: the love and approval of Oscar Isaac.

In an earlier iteration of Esquire's ongoing video series, Isaac was asked about his famous friendship with Pascal, to which the actor said Pascal was "obsessed" with him, "like a disease." As for Pascal's response: "I don't care to respond," said Pascal. "Whatever makes him happy. I'll always be there for you, Oscar. Always." It's equal parts intoxicating and creepy. A beautiful combination that every friend should look for.
In other fun tidbits in the clip, streaming above, Pascal opens up about starring in the upcoming meta Nicolas Cage film, explaining that he hasn't met Cage's infamous two king cobras, but he has FaceTimed with them. You know—casual stuff that happens when you work with Nic Cage. He also said that, much like his celebrity-obsessed character in the film, he would be absolutely star stuck if he ever found himself in the same room as Tina Turner or the late, great Prince.
One of the questions Pascal fielded toward the end of the video asked what genre he would like to tackle next, considering that he's dominated so many other popular franchises over the years. His answer is, naturally, public broadcast television. Give Pedro the WNYC show he deserves. And for all things good and pure, please return Pedro's phone calls, Oscar. Friendship is invaluable, even if the friend in question is undoubtedly obsessed with you.
