It’s been a weird year in sneakers so far. But that's not to say the sneakerverse has lost its footing – it’s simply going through a period of change.

Adidas Sambas are somehow both in and out (strong collaborative takes by the likes of Wales Bonner and Caroline Hu counteract the fact that former PM Rishi Sunak and his compeers have them on their shoe rack). Travis Scott Jordans – once exclusively produced in desert shades – now come in primary colours. Yeezys are discounted on the Adidas webstore. The fast-growing sneaker silhouettes on StockX include Asics models, like the Gel-1130 and the Kayano 14.

But over the next few months, the sneakerscape is set to look more familiar and feel more stable. The Jacquemus x Nike collab is currently restoring interest in the Air Max line; Pharrell Williams, Edison Chen and others are set to revive the Adidas Superstar; the Jordan 4 will reclaim its top spot with the launch of ‘white thunder’; and New Balance is looking to depend on its trustiest collaborators, Joe Freshgoods and Salehe Bembury.

Expect some nice celeb moments, too – more Bad Bunny x Adidas; the debut of Jack Harlow x New Balance – as well as the return of a Wu Tang-inspired grail and the long-awaited launch of the Nigo x Nike Air Force 3.

Here are all of the most exciting releases of the second half of 2024.
