The most talked-about couple of the season isn't even a couple at all. (Yet, at least.) If you're even remotely into football, or into music, or you have access to the Internet, you've undoubtedly seen the burgeoning relationship between NFL star Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift. Two days ago, the public wasn't sure the two would ever meet. Fast forward to today, and she's already met his mom and he's donning Easter egg apparel for her next album.

Let me recap: A few days ago, Travis publicly invited Taylor to the Chiefs versus Bears game. Yesterday, she accepted and attended. Drank a vodka cran, had a couple chicken tenders, hung out with his mom—normal pseudo-first date things. Tay and Trav were spotted hanging out afterwards, with Travis stepping out wearing a KidSuper jacket. But not just any KidSuper jacket—it's the 1989 Bedroom Painting jacket (he also sported the matching 1989 pants). Hmm...now who do we know with an album famously called 1989?

To be fair, KidSuper added the "1989" to the "custom Taylored" set, originally just called "Bedroom Painting," after Travis was spotted wearing it with Taylor, but regardless, this looks like the start of something promising. Supporting each other's careers is, after all, the hallmark of a healthy relationship, whether it was intentional or not. Still, we have a lot of questions. Did Travis or Taylor's team sign off on this product name change that endorses their 'ship? Are we seeing the subject of Taylor's next album unfold in real time, before our very eyes? Swifties, Chiefs, and Esquire editors are officially here for Traylor, because the couple that slays together—say it with me now—stays together.

The two might just be friends, of course, but Taylor Swift is the queen of dropping subtle hints related to her music and relationships—and that jacket-and-pants set is right up her alley, especially with 1989 (Taylor's Version) being the next drop on her roster. As long as the folks in question are happy and Travis keeps serving sick streetwear looks that may or may not be inspired by Taylor Swift's discography, I'm in full support (and rooting for a punk-rock Reputation fit next—don't be shy, Travis!).
